April 2025 News Update

view from my window

Dear friends,

No news this month as I have been well and truly ensconced in a massive house move but hopefully will be a bit more on track and settled by next month.

I did write a brief heartfelt message on Facebook so here it is... Today I move from my home in Sutton Coldfield where I spent 23 plus years there. I shared joy and deep sadness in equal measure within its walls. I created in my humble opinion some of my best work there in my little music room come studio.

I'm moving to a house in the country to be close to the woman I love, my dear friend of almost forty years my Susan.

She has shared my grief and has helped me beyond words to make this transition and to embark on a new chapter in both our lives. I feel so grateful to have found love again at the age I am, I'm truly blessed in so many ways, and I thank the Lord for it all. My music and all my dear precious friends (you know who you are) that have been beside me on this journey over the past few years.

I wish the new owners much health and happiness in this house that has been full of love and melody.

Perilous Journey - Youtube album review by Jim Newstead, Adventures in Music

I was delighted to see that my Perilous Journey album was reviewed by Jim on his Youtube channel, and even more delighted that he enjoyed it!

Jim had apparently owned the album for some time but never played it. The review spans two videos, one for each side of the album. The only track he was familiar with prior to this was 'Heartsong', but it was obvious from his facial expressions and comments that he enjoyed the whole album.

A few quotes: " I really, really, really enjoyed this." The sound is just spectacular" "This is class"

Thank you Jim, I hope you will explore more of my work in future.

Be well and more to tell next month.
