What an incredibly full month May turned out to be. This month the newspage gives you a brief snap shot of just one week in my life....
On Monday 15th May I had a great day sharing knowledge with brilliant young guitarist Ben Gorb who is a student at The Royal Northern College of Music.
My new Vintage VSA8500R arrived on Tuesday May 16th. A somewhat large box. And here it is..What a thing of beauty.
That same day I played a fund raising concert for The Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust at The Hill Music Club in Sutton Coldfield.
On Wednesday 17th I did a poster signing session and rehearsal with Paul Ward in readiness for the vinyl launch for THE LAST OF ENGLAND next month on July 18th at The Guildhall in Lichfield.
On Thursday 18th I had a meeting with my biographer Steve Pilkington and in the evening Steve, Carrie Martin and I attended a fabulous concert at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham of Roger Hodgson of SuperTramp fame and met the great man after the show.
On the Friday we were graced by the presence of Mr Nick Hooper the composer of the music of two Harry Potter movies. Nick and I are sharing a musical evening together later in the year at his local village Hall. Nick, apart from being a lovely chap and good friend is an outstanding guitarist and will very soon be the owner of a magnificent Fylde guitar!
On Saturday 20th I shared in the celebration of my friend Peter Bonner's first year of his record shop opening in Sutton Coldfield by playing a few tunes and then inviting Carrie Martin to sing one of her wonderful songs.
On the 22nd Hilary and I spent our 31st wedding anniversary with friends Cath and Geoff Olner in Lichfield, where Geoff bought a fabulous Strat copy from my friend Steve's shop S and J Music.
I may even get one myself, as I need another guitar!!
Here I am playing Geoff's new Strat with he and Cath.
So much happening in just a few days!
