My special guest on my Feb 24th SHARING DAY 2018 is the wonderful guitarist/composer/teacher and transcriber for major guitar publications in the UK Tristan Seume. It has been my pleasure to have known Tris for many years and it has been a joy to share the stage with him on many occasions.
Like me, he is a devotee of FYLDE guitars and like me shares a close friendship with the company's founder Roger Bucknall. Such is their friendship that Roger fashioned a beautiful FYLDE banjo for Tris, probably one of the finest I have ever seen and is truly worthy of his outstanding abilities on this instrument. But it is his virtuoso guitar playing that truly sets him apart from other players of his generation. I have always likened him to a young John Renbourn in terms of his touch and complex guitar instrumentals.
It will be a pleasure to have him with us on the day to share his gifts with us.
The format for the day will be a brief selection of tunes from yours truly followed by a detailed look at our chosen piece for the day, a track from my new album "This Fathers Love". There will be the usual Q&A on any related guitar subject be it technique, performance, composition, what have you. Also throughout the afternoon there will the chance to "share" YOUR playing with us.
Tristan will join in the afternoon to play us some of his stunning compositions and answer any of your questions, but the main thrust will be his playing. I hope he brings his banjo with him as well as his collection of FYLDE'S!

The Scout Hut (in fact it gives the wrong impression) is a spacious hall at the rear of St James Church Centre, Mere Green Road, Sutton Coldfield, opposite Sainsbury's. There is a large free car park.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are available throughout the day, and our local Sainsbury's is just opposite for your luncheon needs.Cost for the day is £100
