VINTAGE GORDON GILTRAP SIGNATURE ELECTRO ACOUSTIC ~ NATURAL
This was of course the award winning model that everyone fell in love with including me of course. The genius of Rob Armstrong's faithfully reproduced design has shone through even in a massed produced guitar such as this. I loved this guitar and there are many clips on YOUTUBE to prove it!
VINTAGE GORDON GILTRAP SIGNATURE 12 STRING ELECTRO-ACOUSTIC ~ NATURAL
Many have said that this is one of the finest 12 strings they have encountered. My response was that the player must be mindful of tuning the guitar DOWN at least a tone and a half to bring out the true ringing qualities of a 12 string.
VINTAGE GORDON GILTRAP SIGNATURE DELUXE ELECTRO ACOUSTIC ~ NATURAL
I can't praise this instrument high enough, and it truly represents (even after Brexit) unbelievable value for money and stands head and shoulders above many guitars three times it's price.
FRET-KING ELISE 'GG' GORDON GILTRAP ~ ANTIQUE SUNBURST
This guitar is the second edition model following on from the first incarnation that was cherry red and had the under saddle transducer option. It was Trev Wilkinson’s idea to do an updated model that would appeal more to the mainstream player. The end result I think is a stunner and is a far more deluxe model with ebony fingerboard and that lovely "roll control" of Trev's that turns humbucker into single coil at the turn of a knob thus creating a wider tonal palette, and this combined with the mini humbucker in the neck position creates a very potent mixture indeed. Visually of course it's a stunner and I have always had a weakness for sunburst guitars being a throwback from my first guitar that was a sunburst.
VINTAGE GORDON GILTRAP D-DAY MANDOLIN
If you want an affordable Mandolin with an amazing historical WWII connection this has got to be it. Based on a pre-war design, this elegant little instrument comes complete with its own vintage style case.
Jamie Giltrap Guitar
The VE3000MGG is a labour of love by master guitarist Gordon Giltrap, luthier Rob Armstrong and Vintage brand owner JHS.
In January 2018, Jamie Giltrap, a popular Drum and Bass musician and son of Gordon Giltrap, sadly passed away. The decision was swiftly taken by Gordon and JHS to create a lasting tribute to Jamie's memory, and plans for the production of the VE3000MGG were quickly begun.
All these models are available at stores throughout the world, and always in stock at my all-time favourite UK store, Ivor Mairants Musicentre.
