Hi,
I have been beavering away in my cousins guitar workshop after he "bludgeoned" me into making my own acoustic guitar, which I had never done before.
I decided to make a guitar based on the wonderful Panormo guitar models of the 1800's.
A slight twist is that I fancied adding a "moustache" bridge (usually found on the old Lacote guitars) rather than the traditional Panormo style bridge.
It's coming along really well.
If anyone is interested you can view the progress here:

Password to access the pictures is: Panormo
I keep adding photo's as the project progresses, so feel free to follow it by checking every few weeks as I update it.

Re: Panormo influenced guitar build.
Due to an annoying amount of adverts that keep popping up on Photobucket I have moved the pictures to a more user friendly webpage.
If you are interested in my Panormo build, please view them here:

There are a lot of pictures, so if you are not too interested in viewing it all from planks of wood, click on higher number pages to more recent pictures of the guitar further along the assembly. I will add more pictures as I go along.

Re: Panormo influenced guitar build.
I have finally finished making my "Panormo" inspired classical guitar. I'm letting the strings settle and playing the guitar in for a week or so then I will finish off smoothing off the corners on the nut and saddle. Only other thing left to do is fit the ebony strap button at the base of the guitar.
It is the first time I have made an acoustic guitar and probably the last!
Here are a few photo's of it:

Re: Panormo influenced guitar build.
This is one beautifully made guitar and I love the bridge, well done sir.
Re: Panormo influenced guitar build.
Thank you so much Gordon. Means a lot coming from your goodself. The bridge was inspired by the Lacote guitar bridges (also Tony Zemaitis!). The Panormo bridge is wonderful but I thought I would go for something a little different.
