SECRET VALENTINE PROJECT UNVEILED

Postby Sue » Mon Nov 26, 2007 9:33 am

26th Nov is an important day for Gordon. It sees the public launch of a project he has been working on for 8 years!

The Secret Valentine,Cool Acoustics / Rob Armstrong hybrid acoustic guitar has a polymer soundboard. Gordon is so impressed by the Secret Valentine guitar that he has recorded his first solo studio album for 16 years, using solely this instrument.

The resulting album, also entitled [[Secret Valentine,]] is a captivating new recording of Gordon’s most romantic and melodic pieces. The album is recorded as an enhanced audio CD that includes a video interview with Gordon and the creators of the guitar.

There is lots of info on the website about both the instrument and the CD - a good place to start would be the December News Update page.

Hi Peter,

the track listing is as follows:

Maddie Goes West
Under This Blue Sky
Simply Margaret
Kaz
The Picnic
Elegy (The Death of Chatterton)
Down The River
By Angle Tarn
A Christmas Carol
The Lord's Seat
Prayer for Philippa
Isabella's Wedding
The Ecchoing Green / London
The Kerry Dancers
Secret Valentine

By my count, thats three tracks that have not been on CD before... By Angle Tarn, Prayer for Philippa and Secret Valentine. I'm eagerly awaiting my copy so I can put some more samples on the Discography page.

Hi Pete.

I promise MUCH new material in 2008 like you have never heard before, but in the meantime I hope that folk will be interested in THREE new pieces on the Valentine album.

Worry not sir, I haven't dried up just yet...grin.. :D
