I thought I'd post this as a new thread instead of adding to the existing 'versus' thread.
Can I suggest that instead of adding comments or thoughts, members add those to the other thread and just use this one for adding any URL's for other demos of either guitar that they either find or upload themselves?
These then are all the Youtube demos and reviews for the VE2000GG-12 and VE8000PB-12 guitars that I have found to date. Sound quality varies, but none are poor and some are excellent. I hope these help anyone who, like me, is trying to decide which of the two instruments is best for them. I won't add any other comments about each upload - you can judge for yourselves. ((One last tip - it's interesting to grab the audio of each upload and listen to them using a player or a burned CD without watching the video. That way you really get to hear differences. The 'shuffle' option forces you to concentrate a bit more, as well.)
OK - that's my lot. Here are the links:

Re: VE2000GG-12 vs VE8000PB-12 - Youtube demos and reviews
I've just found yet another demo and review of the Vintage Paul Brett signatur 12 string.
This is in the online magazine iguitar. You have to register to be able to access and read it, but that's free and there seem to be no further associated issues such as sales spam or what-have-you.
This is an especially detailed review with an equally excellent 'video' review and demo built into one of the pages. This is especially good because towards the end, the sound of the guitar is demo'd using both the Fishman system and as recorded 'straight' via a microphone.
http://licklibrary.ceros.com/iguitarmag ... 9/page/186
But the search for additional demos, reviews or examples of Gordon's Vintage signature 12 string is proving to be immensely difficult.
For such an excellent instrument, and as one of only two viable contenders in the area of affordable, well-built, small-scale 12 strings, it's difficult to see why this should be.
Are there no other members of this forum who have found or uploaded examples of the guitar in use?

Re: VE2000GG-12 vs VE8000PB-12 - Youtube demos and reviews
Hello Old Bones
I will be using the GG 12 string during our acoustic duo show next Friday. Its a nice venue with meals etc and generally has a few
players watching - I will get some feed back and ask those I know to give it a strum and look over for thoughts.
Will be happy to pass this on after the event
best regards

Re: VE2000GG-12 vs VE8000PB-12 - Youtube demos and reviews
Thanks Phil, that will help redress the balance.
I've trawled through just about every source I can think of for the moment to find a balance between accessible reviews and demos of the PB and GG 12ers, but it's the PB12 that seems to be the one that's featured most. I'm sure there must be loads of GG12 players out there ... maybe they're just very private people?
Looking forwards to any comments - especially any that refer to the GG12's acoustic sound versus its electro sound. The only real negative I've come across so far is folks saying it can be a bit fiddly to get a well-balanced sound when playing through an amp. Conversely, the PG12 rates well in that area but folks bemoan the fact that the preamp doesn't include a tuner such as found on the GG12.
Horses for courses.
Swings and roundabouts.

Re: VE2000GG-12 vs VE8000PB-12 - Youtube demos and reviews
Hello all
as promised I have gathered some feed back on the GG12 over 2 gigs - last thurs and Friday. Comments as below.
Quality was the word used on several occasions regarding construction
Unplugged views were - easy to play / will suit 6 string players / string height good / lovely ringing sound / much better than 12 strings played in years gone by/ tuner handy / lots of volume.
Lots of questions re: what is it / body shape - look at the label was my general reply - lots of ahhs and nods !!
Plugged into Fishman amp at both gigs - views were good - full sound , different , picking sounded good and contrast with my 2 ovations used as well.
Hope this helps - views from the punters !
Best regards

Re: VE2000GG-12 vs VE8000PB-12 - Youtube demos and reviews
Thanks Phil. Very detailed and useful.
That should be really helpful for anyone who is in the position of trying to decide between these two excellent instruments.
As you may have gathered from my posts elsewhere - I've decided upon the VE8000PB-12 so after I've received it and given it a thorough testing, I'll upload a full review here and also a demo/review to Youtube.
Thanks again for taking the time and effort to add your gathered comments for Gordon's signature 12.
