HUNTINGDON HALL TONIGHT.Wakeman & Giltrap.

Postby GORDON » Sat Sep 22, 2012 7:23 am

Oliver and I have worked SO hard to make this tour a fun show and musically satisfying for the audience.

Wish us luck. Tonight being the first show, anything could go wrong but we are only human.

Be Well.

Morning everyone,

I have been looking forrward to this inaugural concert of the Ravens & Lullabies tour since it was announced. It is therefore unfortunate ( for Gordon and Oliver ) that my ugly mug will be grinning back at them from the audience tonight.

GOOD LUCK guys . May your deity smile down on you both and make this series a success - you both richly deserve it.

Keith.

Well said Keith! :D

All the very best to Gordon and to Oliver. May all your long hours and hard-work of preparation and rehearsal be richly rewarded tonight!

See you at Trowbridge next Saturday....

Hello!

Wishing you ALL the luck, and wishing Ania and I were there too (but we are - with our thoughts).

Hoping to see one of the concerts in spring... :-)

Hi Kevin

Hmmmm, yes, I guess the time of my post and its message do make the gig appear to have over-run a tad.

Spent the night as a guest at Giltrap Manor and returned via Harley mid morning. Now slaving over a hot keyboard to complete some musings for esteemed web mistress Sue Holton to post - along with some of her photos and video of the event.

Watch this space.

Keith

Ravens & Lullabies tour - a first class collaboration between two very talented performers!!
Enchanting, entertaining, exhilarating - do not miss this tour it is better value than the Olympics, more entertaining than the Olympics and the tickets are easier to buy!
The highlight of my evening was to hear Roots live – a first for me! As always the evening was too short but we were all captivated by this new venture, a mesmerising musical combination that kept the audience on the edge of their seats wondering what was coming next as we switched between our favourite Gordon Giltrap tunes, new GG material, keyboard and guitar duets, tunes from Oliver’s previous CDs and even something from Yes!
A first outing for the new mahogany Vintage Gordon Giltrap signature electro acoustic guitar and a very fine Fret King semi acoustic added interest for the enthusiasts – can’t wait to hear the CD (planned for release in early 2013)
:D :D :D :D :D

Hi Gordon,

I have been away for a couple of days (having left my lap top and iPad in my garage when packing the car......) and therefore missed the opportunity to wish you luck. It sounds like a it was a great concert, which is no surprise considering the two musicians involved. Well done.

I need to find a way to get over for a Giltrap and Wakeman concert!

I can't wait for the album.

All the best,

Roger

Hi Gordon,

I have just noticed that the next three Giltrap & Wakeman concerts are at Weston-Super-Mare and Trowbridge (I lived in and around Bristol and Bath before moving to the US) and then you are performing in Grantham where my parents now live (and my brother recently moved from London to Lincoln)! I am obviously in the wrong place at the wrong time.....

My brother and father were introduced to your music when I took them with me to see you perform in Sheffield in May and I will now try to get some family members to attend the Grantham gig (if there are still tickets available) on my behalf!

Hello Rog.

So sad you won't be here to see the shows, but it was great to meet you in Sheffield a few months back. Thanks as ever for all your continued posts.

Be well.

Hi Gordon,

In response to my "marketing" e-mail to my family both my brother and father (Graem & John, who you met very briefly in Sheffield) will be attending your Grantham Ravens & Lullabies concert! My father already has the tickets and Graem, who flies home from vacation the day before, will be joining him.

I am now quite envious and I have just completed some searches to see if I could get a bargain flight for a quick in and out visit to see the concert myself, but to no avail.......

I am sure they will enjoy it on my behalf.

All the best.

Roger
