Bert Jansch film
There's some footage on Youtube of Bert Jansch entitled LA TURNAROUND FILM,it's just a short film on the making of this album but it's really worth watching for anyone who's a fan of his.Iv'e been meaning to get some of his materiel for a while and this has prompted me to do so.It may well do for other forum members who like me are aware of him through Gordon's work but haven't really heard much of his music.
Re: Bert Jansch film
Hi Scott.
It does my heart good to know that I have in my own small way introduced the music of Bert Jansch to a few more people.
If folk invest in the LA TURNAROUND CD it comes with the footage you spoke of that can be viewed via a PC.
Be Well and thanks for the heads up on this footage.

Gordon and Scott,
You both might be interested in the following:
1. The interview that Phil Manzanera did with Bert is still available on Phil's website - http://www.manzanera.com/media_radio/index.html, then go to "A plank of wood and 6 strings", part 3.
2. Several years ago I bought a book called Guitar Man by Will Hodgkinson, which is the story of a man in his 30s setting out to learn guitar for the first time. During his jouney the author visits Bert and Loren to try to improve his guitar playing skills - Bert's comments about technique, learning "Anji" and Davy Graham are well worth reading. Bert also comes across as being very patient with the novice guitar player!
Best to you both,
Roger

Re: Bert Jansch film
I have that book Roger, I agree it is well worth a read. lots of interesting stuff for anyone who plays the acoustic guitar especially novices. Will Hodgkinson has written (wrote) another book about song writing as well as appearing on Sky Arts, interviewing Song writers/acoustic giutar players. Would like to see Gordon featured.
