Good News - a new arrival

Postby Sue » Sat Jul 24, 2010 3:34 pm

Hi all,

Its been a bit manic here to say the least - we had the pleasure of having Gordon and Hil to stay Thursday night after his excellent Chatham gig, but the big news: our eldest son Ross and his girlfriend Sara are now proud parents of Phoebe Rose, 4lb 7oz, born at 2.30am this morning - our first grandchild.

She is tiny despite being only a week early, but she and Mum are doing fine now, she hasn't even needed to be in an incubator and is breathing and feeding well. We've just been out and spent a fortune on tiny premature baby clothes as everything anybody had already bought is far too big !

Thanks everyone - Phoebe and Mum were allowed home late last night despite her small size. I shall pass on all your good wishes when I see them tomorrow,
:D :D
