Willington Concert

Postby Bob Wilson » Thu May 29, 2008 8:59 pm

Hi Gordon
It looks like we timed our few days in the Peaks just right :) What a great atmosphere at this sold out concert. From the start the audience were totally mesmerised by the playing. I had a good view from the side, not only of the stage but also the audience, and it was great to see peoples expressions as you played.
When you played the 12 string fan-fret it was probably the quietest audience I had ever been part of, totally into the music.
It was also great to hear 'Four Winds' again; such a melodic piece.
Dodo was, as usual, well received and the main topic of conversation at the bar during the interval.
Many thanks to Faye and Keith who made us feel so welcome, and to the sound crew who did a great job. It was also good to meet Malc and Caz.
Hope you both have a great time in Scotland and I hope 'the piece' gets finished before we see you again (it's sounding great). :)
Be well both
Bob
