The Lords Seat on lute

Postby Trevor Raggatt » Fri Sep 05, 2014 10:11 am

Saw this posted on Gordon's Twitter feed. Given that this song was always supposed to suggest the lute it is lovely to hear it actually played on one. Beautiful cover!

It is a lovely rendition and that piece was just perfect! I've often wondered how it would sound on the lute. I've played it on 6- and 12-string also a classical (from Classic Giltrap with a more conventional tuning) but this is the best sound I think I've heard.

So glad you liked my good friend Ray Mytton's cracking version of this old chestnut of mine.Im always VERY flattered when others feel my music worthy of playing, it's like a little dream coming true.Be well all.

G.
