guitar round the house

guitar round the house
iv'e often wondered if gordon had a favourite guitar for playing round the house for more relaxed moments rather than as a recording instrument?
Hi Scott
Good question guv.
I have a lovely pair of Guild F20 guitars a 1990s and a 1963 model which was a gift from a friend in Nashville .These are small bodied instruments and comfortable to play whilst watching TV! Guild still make this model but they are in my opinion inferior to the early USA made models. Nick Drake played a similar model but his was an all mahogany guitar, ironically the cheaper model, I think it was the F18. These days because of the connection with the great man commands more money for original early USA made instruments. My friend Paul Johnson has the Drake model an old one and it sounds divine! Also great for recording, a very focused sound
Be Well Sir.
