Rob Armstrong guitar

Postby Steve G » Sat May 09, 2020 11:19 am

I recently bought a made in 1975 Rob Armstrong guitar in Birmingham and hoping someone might be able to shed some light on its history etc.

Serial number - 079/475 DS signed by Rob Armstrong on label.
Medium size kind of jumbo shape body, Schaller tuners, slightly larger sound hole than usual, rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Small black scratch plate.

Came in an old - possibly earlier date than the guitar - grey semi hard case with a sticker on it - The Sherbourne Ceilidh Band. I guess someone might remember them!

A great sounding guitar. Any info would be great!
