New Sharing Day announced 1st Dec 2019

Postby Sue » Wed Sep 11, 2019 4:43 pm

I'm delighted to report that my next Sharing Day will be on December 1st at the delightful Castle Park Arts Centre, Frodsham, Cheshire. Some of you may remember that the previous date here had to be postponed because of my short spell in hospital. This will be another return visit for me and one I'm looking forward to very much.

My chosen piece for the day is A Christmas Carol. Tab for the chosen piece will be emailed to you when you sign up.

My special guest for the afternoon is that outstanding guitarist/teacher/composer Martin Pleass.

I'm hoping he will be bringing that amazing Ralph Bown harp guitar along and demonstrate his skills on this monster of an instrument. Martin also has some impressive connections with world famous legends and I look forward to hearing about them on the day!

During the remainder of the day I shall be on hand to ask any questions about technique, equipment, composition, performance, you name it!

My hope is that everyone will go away armed with ideas they can work on.

The evening will see me perform an intimate concert in the upstairs gallery. The seating is limited so those who just want to attend the concert should book early. Those attending the workshop will have free admission to the evening concert. (Concert tickets for partners etc should be booked separately direct with the venue, details in the concerts calendar section of the website)

My special guest on the evening concert will be Michael Gough a fine guitar player and electric guitar builder whose workshop is adjacent to the Centre itself so do drop in and say hello whilst browsing his amazing hand built guitars along with a fine selection of acoustic instruments.

The fee is £100 to be paid by bank transfer in advance of the event.

Information, bookings, any questions or problems should be directed to Sue Holton via ggiltrap+sharingday@gmail.com not the Arts Centre.
