Claffey Handmade Guitar

Postby Johnty8 » Wed Jul 06, 2016 3:28 pm

I have recently acquired a guitar from Ricky Claffey the Glasgow luthier.I was interested in the opinion of members who have vast experience of different makes and models and if in fact anyone has first hand experience of such.
I think there is information about this guitar on the web site ... medium jumbo with handmade brass tailpiece.

Never come across him before but he does make some lovely looking guitars.

So is this one yours...?

Yes Trevor that is the guitar, I bought it after contacting Ricky and we went from there. I am not a guitar expert in any way, but this is built to an amazing standard.

It looks stunning and I love the long string length and floating bridge which of course effects the overall tone and playability.

Well done for acquiring it buddy.

Be well.
