Anyone know a good luthier/guitar tech in Norfolk area?

Here you can discuss details about instruments, equipment and all those other bits that non-musicians won't understand !

Anyone know a good luthier/guitar tech in Norfolk area?

Postby Seagull27 » Wed Dec 12, 2012 10:44 am

Hi all

I recently bought a Yamaha LL11 and it is in need of a set up. Will most likely need a refret as well because the existing frets are quite badly worn and pitted in areas.

I wondered if anyone knows of a decent tried and tested luthier / guitar tech in the area?

Many thanks

Max

Hi, try Richard Whitley, he lives in Great Yarmouth. A skilled man who was in the same class as Patrick eggle at The London school. Richard is a really good chap, brilliant guitarist, and he should be able to help you. Kind regards. Gary

I was given the details for Andrew Guyton on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. He has apparently done some work (and built guitars) for some very famous guitarists.

Thought I'd add that here for the benefit of anyone stumbling across this thread in the future.

At the same time though, if anyone has ever had any work done by Andrew it would be great to him from you.

Cheers

Max
