A Great Night At The Fleece

Postby John Adams » Mon Apr 23, 2012 10:32 am

Gordon seemed at home, relaxed and on top form at The Fleece last night, as always a warm welcome despite the outside temperature! Gordon played all our favourites as well as some new material, including a new tune dedicated to Loren Jansch. The latest renditions of Down The River, Splinter and Dodo’s Dream left the audience spellbound whilst a sparkling performance of Heartsong and Lucifer’s Cage left us all wanting more!! At times an evening of reflection with the recent passing of Bert Weedon and Jim Marshall, we were entertained by Gordon’s anecdotes, as always respectful and entertaining at the same time! With great interest we listened to Gordon’s plans for an alliance with Oliver Wakeman and an opportunity for a new venture – watch this space!
Many thanks to Gordon for a great performance, Hilary for her continued support and to Sue Sollis for the organisation of a great night, raising over £800 for the Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust.

:D :D :D :D :D
