The third year at Brettforton in an intimate setting in the barn at The Fleece Gordon received the usual warm welcome from “Brettforton regulars” and fans alike. Gordon once again played many of our favourites but with a twist, we enjoyed Under This Blue Sky on the baritone guitar and Maddie Goes West on the new Fylde 12 string, the breathtaking Ives Horizon was included in the set along with the promise of a new album played entirely on the 12 string, as always we were left wanting more and looking forward to Gordon’s next concert! Gordon and the Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust raised over £1,000 on Saturday and with a little luck raised the same on Sunday – sufficient to fund another specialist care bed for people suffering severe illness at the local hospital. Well done to Gordon, Sue Sollis and everyone involved in the concerts!

I was gutted that I missed it. I was gigging myself!

I was lucky enough to be one of the audience on Saturday night and what a great night it was too! The venue is perfect for a "low-key" intimate kind of gig and the atmosphere was electric. We will definitely be there at The Fleece again next year.

Congratulations to Gordon on a great show (as always) and for helping to raise so much money for a worthy cause.

This was my 9th GG concert that I've attended over the past.......oh, I don't know.....years. When was the One To One tour with Ric Sanders? I think that was the first show I saw but I've been a fan since 1978 and have owned no less than 5 copies of the Visionary album!

How cool was this? Gordon asked if anyone recognised the intro to Dublin Day (he tantalisingly played the opening of Roots Part One from Fear Of The Dark album, presumably to please the audience member asking for Fear Of The Dark). My amazement that not a single person shouted out was followed by a lapse of my usual self-restraint, so I replied with a follow-up request for "Fast Approaching" (also FOTD).

Now, if I'm totally honest about this, i did not expect Gordon to remember it (!) let alone play it. My girlfriend looked at me somewhat surprised but not as surprised and pleased as I was to see/hear Gordon play a great acoustic version of the piece. Nice one, Gordon. Thanks!

By the way, my girlfriend (who is a stranger to your music) thinks you're incredible too now so you have at least one new fan following Saturday night.
