Another great concert! The first of the NEW Year, fully equipped with a NEW sound system Gordon gave a great performance, on stage were his NEW Polymer guitar and his NEW 12 string Fylde. Gordon played a NEW set opening with Angie (one of my favourites) before thrilling the audience with Maddie Goes West on the twelve string (so good he played it twice!) We enjoyed Echoing Green and Ives Horizon from Gordon’s back catalogue of material (NEW to us) and a NEW tune, so NEW it hasn’t got a title yet!
In the second half we benefited from the return of the request book and enjoyed material from Bert Jansch and Cliff Richard as well as a short extract from Led Zeppelin! As usual Dodo’s Dream enthralled the audience, along with Heartsong, The Lords Seat, Here Comes The Sun, Rainbow Kites and many more of our favourites, a great concert at a great venue. I even got to buy a copy of Gordon’s NEW CD – As It Happens!
