Gedling and Darley Dale Concerts May 24/25

Postby Roger USA » Fri Mar 15, 2013 3:40 pm

Hi Gordon,

The flights are booked and I now have tickets to see you in May!

I have received my order of 5 tickets for your solo concert at Gedling Church on May 24th. I will be in attendance with others, including Ethan who will be there for at least part if not all of the show (I will make sure he doesn't call out your song titles).

I have also just bought tickets for your Ravens and Lullabies concert at the Joseph Whitworth Centre in Darley Dale on May 25th. I am not yet entirely sure I can make this concert date, but after hearing the album and seeing the date I didn't want to miss out on the possibility of seeing you and Oliver live.

See you in May!

Roger

Hi Roger,

My beloved Fiona and I will also be at these two gigs, although our journey will be a little shorter than yours.

As a fellow forum member we look forward to meeting you too.

Best regards,

Keith

It is going to be a great night and to have Keith, Fiona, Roger and Ethan there along with my dream team sound man will be a joy.

Be Well.

Well you did ask..........

Ethan was very excited by the idea and I reviewed a number of your songs with him on a "name that tune in 3" basis, followed by a decision on whether the song was a "favourite". The resulting list is quite substantial and I simply had to cut him off in the end.

Based on what I know the first 10 are probably favourite, favourites, but to quote him "they are all favorites"

Down the River
Maddie Goes West
Isabella’s Wedding
On Camber Sands
Winter Dance
Daisy Chain
The Picnic
The Racer
Nursery Chimes
Heartsong

Kas
Mrs Singer’s Waltz
Fiona’s Smile
Drifter
Under This Blue Sky
Dodo’s Dream
Tears of Joy
Appalachian Dreaming
Simply Margaret
Rachael's Reflections
Dublin Day
Ive’s Horizon
Five Dollar Guitar
Tailor Bird

Oh and he likes The Lord's ("Is that the one on the small guitar?") Seat and......we could go on :)

There probably aren't too many songs that are wide of the mark - I am not sure if you currently perform Winter Dance, Under This Blue Sky, Drifter, Daisy Chain or The Picnic. In reality anything on the list would be wonderful.

It will also be great to have the opportunity to meet up with Keith, Fiona & Mike!

All the Best,

Roger & Ethan
