Technically this is a superb album with the balance and equalisation 'just right'... Good though those other recordings are, these are truly superb. Couldn't agree more on that one. I'd intended to mention that myself. In fact I'm reliably informed that if you look in the OED under the entries for ...

An excellent review/asessment Trevor! Mirrors my own thoughts completely. This is probably Gordon's best album to date and is an excellent representation of not only his superb technique and playing skills, but also that he is a very, very good composer of a good tune! Trevor, you are so right about...

Now you all know I'm not a guitarist... but I've just come across this. At first I thought it was quite a nice toy, but the more I look and read I wonder if it has some application for "serious" musicians. Certainly the MIDI interface looks interesting as well as some of the on-board emula...

... and I'll third it! I can say this with integrity 'cos i' don't have any role in the 'technicals' for Shining Morn... I, too, was at Camberley and it was a great evening. The very effective lighting and back-projection add a whole new dimension to Gordon's performance, which as Trevor has mention...

... never be caught with your tuntables empty... (well, I did start broadcasting in the '70s! :) ) That's stood me in good stead on many an occasion when I've opened a fader to be met with an unnerving silence. .... and I'll leave Gordon to tell you what is the 'Sin Against The Holy Ghost' of...

Had to move quickly at lunchtime today to correct a false impression I'd given my wife... When she came in I said, "Gordon's put his foot in it by calling someone a bigot when he didn't realise his radio mic was on." I had swiftly to dispel the impression that it was Mr Giltrap who had com...
