Birmingham Last Night

Hi Gordon,
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the concert last night.
Took my daughter she was suitably impressed
Encore was so energetized, worth the trip from Cheshire just for that.
Liked the screen and projector idea and the anecdotes, Music good as ever.
Thanks
Kevin

Re: Bert Jansch

Another massive influence gone. very upsetting. Saw him play in Manchester a few years ago always hoped to see him again. Not to be.

Bert Jansch in Hospital

Hi Gordon
Don't know if you are aware but according to the website of Bert Jansch he is in hospital and had to cancel a show last night.
I know he has had health issues lately.
Hope he gets better soon
Best wishes
Kevin

Re: CLIFFORD T WARD.

Hi Gordon A very passionate post I loved his song "Gaye" as a child and although I did not really follow this up or become a "fan" I have always thought that there was something a bit special about his work. Just having a look on you tube has made me think I should look more deep...

Re: Birmingham Town Hall Gig Special Offer for Forum users

Got two tickets today,(with discount) good seats, nice venue by the look of the picture I saw. Incidently if you book in person you will probably have to go to the box office at the Symphony Hall, like I had to(ten minutes walk away but worth it) as due to council cuts the Town hall is only open two...

Bridge or saddle?

Er actually Mike I may have inadvertantly mislead you. Assuming that the wooden bit is actually the brige and the white bit that the strings sit on is the saddle I have to admit that it has an adjustable saddle and not as I thought bridge. sorry about that. The saddle if thats what its called sits i...

EKO guitar

Thats interesting Mike as when I cleaned mine up and restrung it I did notice the beginnings of a split in the bridge although I dont think its gone through yet! Now that I have had the guitar a couple of weeks I am surprised at how well it sounds but like so many impulse purchases I sort of wish I ...

EKO guitar

Have just bought a 1982/3 EKO ranger 6 acoustic. I know these were low end guitars but have heard they play well I was interested in it because it is italian made and it looks well designed (if you are into that sort of thing) it has an adjustable bridge and I have seen a photo of Jimmy Page playing...

Hi Gordon
Thank you for taking the trouble to reply.
What you say makes perfect sense and having heard your Rob Armstrong played, you must be delighted that its voice has been reproduced in such a good value for money version.
Thank you again

Gordon's Laminate guitar

Hi Gordon Have just read the superb review of your new signature guitar in this months Acoustic magazine and was astounded to read that your original Rob Armstrong model has itself laminate back and sides. As someone who spends half their life dreaming of expensive solid wood guitars (I only own one...

Stockport last night

Finally got to see Gordon at Stockport last night after the disapointment of Cannock being called off. Well worth the trip, the small audience (its a small but well appointed room that was full) were often in awe at the performance judging by the whispererd comments. Credit to Gordon for performing ...
