Re: The Last of England - CD

Really love the opening track. I keep on repeating and repeating and repeating it again. Yes, the opening track really sets the album up. Just when you think you've heard it all, it changes to something else and just appears to keep moving and getting better and better as it evolves. I need to list...

Re: Bishops Cleeve - October

Hi everyone, Sorry for the late response here but Gordon's gig actually kick-started a holiday and I've only just got back! As Simon and Dave have already indicated it was another great concert with a nice surprise by way of the support act! It was great to hear Gordon hint at the prospect of anothe...

Re: Bishops Cleeve - October

I will be, Andrew.

I originally got the tickets when it was scheduled for March this year but we all know it will be well worth the wait and Gordon will do us all proud, I'm sure.

Re: Gordon's albums: what do you listen to most often?

As someone who grew up listening to Gordon Giltrap before I even heard The Beatles' music, the three albums Gordon recorded for Electric will always have a very special place for me. It has already been said that Visionary , Perilous Journey and Fear Of The Dark are all singularly great classic albu...

Re: Sir Terry Wogan

I'm very sorry to hear about Sir Terry's passing. Similar to the comments already made, I also treasure my memories of the early morning drives to work listening to Terry on Radio 2. I greatly miss his wit, wisdom and bittersweet sense of irony. He gave a voice to a lot of thoughts many of us were t...

Re: Cleeve Concert March 6th re scheduled

Hi Sue,

Many thanks for the update!

Presumably anyone already with tickets for March 6th will simply be able to turn up on 2nd October and get the same seats?

The promoter (as yet) hasn't exactly been clear about this so any info will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Re: Cleeve Concert March 6th re scheduled

Hi Sue Thanks for the update! I have already contacted the organiser, Lee Noble (07917 195129), who told me that they are awaiting further details before they could respond. I also spoke to Ticket Master who were unaware of the change, so are presumably still offering tickets for that particular day...

Re: Soundwaves

I have seen this before. I presume it's what they refer to as "Library Music" and contemporary with Gordon's "Airwaves" album? What's it like, Sue? How does it compare to "Airwaves"? I would have also asked you, Andrew, but as you've only just obtained your copy no doub...

Re: RIP David Bowie

Yes, very sad news indeed and the world is slowly coming to terms with the loss of one of our true original artists. Perhaps as shocking for some fans though is the way he kept his illness silent for so long and channelled his feelings into his most recent work, the album "Blackstar", rele...

Re: Charity Auction

My framed autographed picture has just arrived. Wow, I never noted just how big it was! Thanks again to Gordon and all those people involved who gave their time, services and materials to make these items available for charity. All I need now is a very heavy gauge picture hook and........where did I...

Re: Charity Auction

It was me, folks! I'm absolutely thrilled to bits. Quite apart from owning another nice piece of Gordon ephemera, the money goes to a great cause in the process! Well done, Gordon, for taking part and for your continued charity support. I know you have given much of your time to support our local Tr...

Re: Charity Auction

HERE, HERE, on all counts! Thanks also to Sue for the Ebay tip-off. Gordon, I note a single concert is still scheduled for 2016 at Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham. Are you still planning to go ahead with this one? I note, as of today that 137 of the 210 available tickets have sold already (2 to yours tr...
