Hi Ben, Piezo's will always sound a little brittle but of course you do have the best pre-amp (GG10) to adress this problem. A blend system will 'round off' the sound better for you and give you greater flexablity. As far as the L30 goes I have two very different suggestions; 1) Shertler bug. About ...

My greatest memories of Don are from when he was living in his caravan behind 'The Walkford', a pub between New Milton and Highcliffe, not far from his parents house. He was responsible for introducing me and a number of my school friends (all age 15) to the joys of proper cider.....something I have...

Yes Sue, it was sensational. The standard of musicianship was staggering and to see Martin Barre, Jacquee McShee and Johnny Logan share a stage was quite amazing. Mr Logan blew us away...my god that man has a voice! Sadly, the Excalibur set has come in for a fair bit of criticism and slating on the ...

Both Rick Wakeman's and Martin Taylor's set were superb...as would be expected I'm sure. To be honest though, what really did it for me were Little Feat...what a fantastic band. Also, at the very top of my list was the live performance of highlights from Alan Simon's 'Excalibur'. I know the terms 'r...

OK guys...mission completed!!! Fantastic day in London. Started off with a huge brunch at the legendary Ace Cafe on the North Circular, followed by a 30 minute tube ride to Oxford Circus and a walk to Denmark Street. The two shops which ticked all the boxes for us were Wunjo's and Regent. In Wunjo's...

There is a new guitar in the Gannicott (father & son) collection! A rather fantastic Tele; in fact it's a mahogany slab body, ESP neck, single coil tapped DiMarzio humbucker and a USA Kahler trem. What's more it has a history...it was once owned by our very own beloved Mr GG!! This is a fantasti...

We were so sorry to hear of this terrible blow to Robbie and Sheila but like everyone else, relieved to hear that Robbies injuries are not as severe as they could have been. Rob's remarkable strength of character will see him through this disaster and we can all be sure that whatever the future hold...

If the GG signature is out of the budget, try any of the other Vintage acoustics, I think you'll be amazed. There's an all mahogany model for well less than £300 that would give a Martin a damn good run for it's money! Failing that, have a look at Crafters - they make some great budget instruments. ...
