Re: The Making of "Bridge Over Troubled Water"
.. and the Docu on George Harrison on BBC2 on Sat and Sun nights was pretty good too... Moment of the weekend? Eddie Jordan intervieweing Paul McCartney on BBC Formula 1 coverage and calling him 'George'! (In fairness to Mr J, G Harrison esq was quite a petrolhead and seems to have known EJ pe...

The Making of "Bridge Over Troubled Water"
... if you missed the film (BBC1; Tues 8th; 2235) about Simon and Garfunkel and how they created the marvellous album "Bridge over Troubled Water" it'll be well worth catching on iPlayer. Particular fascinating for me as a sound guy was how they got the 'sounds', but I'm sure any muso will...

Re: Bert Jansch
At the end of last night's "Later... with Jools Holland" he said that the Friday extended edition would be featuring a tribute to Bert Jansch.
BBC2 and BBC HD - 2350 Friday evening. Probably also on iPlayer.

Re: Triumvirate
Greetings and welcome to the Discussion Board. :) As you may well have discovered, you don't get very much appropriate stuff if you search for Triumvirate. However if you put "Rod Edwards, Roger Hand and Jon Miller" into Google you'll find lots more relevant stuff. They also produced anoth...

Re: Double Vision, Headington Quarry, Oxford. 9/4//11
... and just to reassure Gordon... the comment made on the night about C S Lewis not liking music wasn't quite accurate. It was ORGAN music that he couldn't stand... He was actually a great devotee of Wagnerian opera. Ah well, each to their own... He also didn't care much for theatre or cinem...

Re: Acoustic Amp
Well, there y'go!
... from the horse's mouth so to speak! (No offence Gordon!)
The only acoustic amps I have experience of (strictly as an observer of course!) are AER, but they're a bit out of your budget.
Cheers! Mike

Re: Double Vision, Headington Quarry, Oxford. 9/4//11
Yet again Mr M makes me laugh-out-loud at one of his reviews - I trust it will be some time before I join C S Lewis in the churchyard! An excellent evening and with R and G in such stormin' form and a nice 'church' acoustic, a very easy gig to mix. A pleasure working with such pleasant and pro...

Rob Armstrong Benefit - The Result
I'm sure Gordon will add his own take on a special evening, but the most important news is that just over £1000 was raised for Rob's restart fund . Great news and what we were all there for. The forum's roving reporter - K Meredith Esq - will doubtless contribute his usual perceptive and well-chosen...
