Armstrong guitar and more.

Hi Lee. Thanks for your posting which for me is a golden opportunity to ask all our guitar playing friends out there what their favourite guitars are in THEIR collection. I am SO lucky to own some of the best guitars (for me) money can buy, many of which are featured on various CDs and DVDs. For me ...

Isaac Guillary.

Hi Steve. SO good to see Isaac on your list my friend. I had a look at some early footage on YOUTUBE, and it reminded me of how much I miss the man, and how good he was.No flash, no hundred miles an hour runs, no doubling as a drum kit, just pure unadulterated great music and song. This man should n...

Hi there. I have often been intrigued by this idea of aging an acoustic by putting various frequencies through it via a speaker, but in all honesty I guess the best way is to play it to death with as many tunes as you know... :) Lots of opening tunings may help, also try putting a heavier guage strin...

Greeting Julian. Believe it or not I DO remember someone asking me for my autograph at that Oldfield concert. I was VERY flattered especially attending another artists show and to be asked for an autograph, I believed I signed your programme! The other things I remember was that Phil Beer was one of...

Hi David. Sadly my uncle passed away about five years ago, but thankyou for the nice comments, and yes he was a nice man. When you say that Chris 'played' On Camber Sands, did you mean she performed it or was it from the CD? If she did perform it I'm very flattered AND impressed as it's a tricky pie...

Hello Both.

SO pleased you enjoyed the concert. Sadly Sad Skies is a piece for Rock band and not really a solo piece otherwise I would have given it a crack. I believe you lived near to me in the early day so someone said?

Be Well.

Hi Nick.

Who would have thought way back in 78 that this old chestnut of mine would mean SO much to folk, and for it to be used on your special day is really HEARTWARMING.. :D

Hilary and I wish you much happiness together.

Be Well.

Andy McKee

Ho Lee. THANKYOU, for telling us about Mr McKee. I made a point of watching him, and I'm SO glad I did, this guy is wonderful, stunning technique, and more to the point beautiful tunes. As I have always said in the past, technique is all well and good but you have to create something that MEANS some...

Hi John, Being the Anorak that I am I can talk for England about guitars. It was indeed good to chat about such things, and I'm pleased you enjoyed that old chestnut of mine. I hope you get it under the fingers soon so you can share it at you local club. I'm always flattered when people want to play...
