Hi Gordon
Might I suggest 'Apple Cider Constitution'... but drink it, don't sing it :)
Hope you are both well

Re: Bert Jansch

Very, very sad news. Such a great loss.
His influence will continue to inspire guitarists the world over. We shall miss his modest genius.
Our thoughts go to his family and friends and to the both of you on the loss of such a good friend.
RIP Bert.

Re: Tele Question for Russ

Hi Roger There are plenty of good tuners out there at very reasonable prices, however, better tuners will stop a lot of problems with tuning. As for the neck, if you are thinking of changing it anyway why not give the allen key a tweak before you do just to make sure the set-up is OK. It sounds like...

Good service and knowledge and they specialise in travel guitars. I can recommend the Lestar Ministar.

Re: Relocation, relocation etc

Hi Andrew/Teresa
Hope the move goes well. You'll definitely get more chances to see Gordon in Hampshire and the surrounding counties but the hot weather might be a shock to the system :D
Hopefully we'll see you at a Gordon concert soon.
Be well

Re: Tele Question for Russ

Hi Roger As it's a first project I wouldn't go for anything too top notch but there are a lot of good parts sites out there with decent parts at a good price. Check out: http://www.axesrus.com/axecart.htm http://www.axetec.co.uk/ The Wilkinson stuff should be ideal for what you want to do and it's p...

Re: Tele Question for Russ

Hi Roger This will be an older model as I think the newer ones are not through body. They are a good buy if you don't mind doing a little work on them. I've had students who had them and they played fine but all had a few problems with staying in tune and intonation. If you change the heads and work...

Re: St Augustine's Catholic College Concert

It was Ritchie and Caroline's first Giltrap Concert but definitely not their last. They now know how good an acoustic guitar can sound in the hands of a master :)
With such a good venue for this type of music hopefully it can be repeated

St Augustine's Catholic College Concert

This lovely venue was a perfect stage for Gordon to show off his new Vintage signature 12 string and 6 string guitars and we were not disappointed. The second stage had been bought out to give the much more intimate atmosphere that Gordon loves and it certainly showed in his playing. He did not stay...

Re: best guitar up to £250

Hi Gazcoop I have an Ovation Applause and it is great value for money. It is an Electro-Acoustic mid bowl-back so does not slip or create a huge reach over and has a cut-away for the higher notes, it is also very easy to lower the action. Being a mainly electric guitarist I find this a great guitar ...

Re: The last two Four Parts concerts

I have to say that the Four Parts (minus one) were really on form at South Petherton. With John ill (get well soon John) the others took up the challenge and the concert went really well. Whether it was because they were all pushing that bit harder or not I don’t know, I only know that it was a grea...
