Adrian Snell's The Passion
The album was produced by the Triumvirate team who produced Gordon's mid seventies albums (Rod Edwards, Roger Hand and Jon Miller) and used what effectively was the Triumvirate house band (aka the Gordon Giltrap Band) for the recording - John G Perry on bass, Simon Phillips on drums, Rod Edwards on ...

Nice photo of GG and his melted 12 string in this month's...
...Guitarist magazine, promoting the Cheltenham Acoustic Guitar Show on the 13-14 September (where Gordon's playing and doing some masterclasses).
PS. It's a nice Fylde 12 string but is that what happens when you leave it in the car boot on a hot summer's day?

Hi there. Sadly that film has been lost to time. I would love to see it again, even though some of it would be quite embarrassing to watch! It was filmed at a VERY cold Tintagel way back in 1979. Best of Regards. Gordon. I recall being entranced by that video when it was broadcast all those years a...

Re: I'm cool..but nobody knows it....!
I've just discovered that in 1973 I made Dave Grohl's (Foo Fighters) guitar. I didn't know it, he doesn't know it, you didn't know it......but now you do ands he doesn't. So that makes all Gordon's 'anorak readers' cooler and more enlightened than Dave Grohl. That's what I call cool! Russ Come on n...

Re: Oh dear.....
Talking of which, have any of you noticed the 'typographical' conection between Gordon and Iron Maiden? Cheers, Russ BTW it's a font a version of which is downloadable from many free font sites on th' interweb. Just search for a font called "Eddie" (obviously!). But you're right, clearly ...

Sue, Like Trevor, I no longer have a means of playing vinyl discs. However, I have retained my vinyl collection (including several of Gordon's discs) and would certainly buy the vinyl edition, particularly if it had extra features which made it different from the CD (apart from the obvious) such as...

Multi-tasking...
Great pictures Trevor! Hearing Gordon talk about Chas Cronk reminded me that I saw the acoustic strawbs a few years ago and Chas was not only playing bass but also using a midi pedalboard to give strings and orchestra backing to some of the songs. Multi tasking never sounded so good  Be well B...

Gordon, It's interesting that you mention John Gustafson. I first came across him with Roxy Music, as he played on three of their 70's albums and also toured with them a few times (I saw him playing with them in 1975). I always liked his playing. I wonder what he's doing these days? One of my more ...

Re: Taking Photographs and an Autograph at your concerts...?
I am wondering would I have your permission to take photographs at the venue/event. Hey there John, Hope that you enjoyed the gig and that the shots came out well... we went to Gordon's gig the following night and there was a chap in the front row doing a watercolour painting of Gordon. And really ...

AS far as I understand there are a number of benefits quoted - both tonal and ergonomic. I found hte following quote on a luthier website... http://www.doolinguitars.com/fanned.html I offer Fanned-Fret Technology as an option on my guitars, on license from the patent holder Novax. Each string has it...

I'm beginning to think GG is avoiding me! You and me both!!!!! I've not managed to get along to one of Gordon's gigs since... blimey, I think it was the Birmingham Symphony Hall one. GULP!!! The hassle of playing in a covers band a lot of weekends and having a job that requires a good bit of...

It's one of those little village hall ones so there will only be around 70 tickets available... book early as the saying goes!
