Hi Colin By having a pedal board that was specifically built for Boss you should not have the power problems you would have had were they different makes. Before pedal boards were popular most guitarists made their own and most had problems with the power supplies causing interference with the diffe...

Hi Colin I think the pedal you are after is an Expression Pedal. These pedals all have octaves up, octaves down and wah-wah plus many other extras. I think Gilmour uses a Digitech Whammy or one of the Digitech XP range (probably XP100). If you are able to choose any Boss pedals the ME-50 multi effec...

Hi Gordon This sized venue suits your music so well. Tiered seating always appeals as everyone gets a good view and you are not just dot in the distance, you actually connect with the audience more freely. With all the Colleges and Specialist Music Schools about I'm sure there is a ready audience fo...

The Lights at Andover
Hi Gordon Despite the weather, what a great night! From the start you could hear a pin drop as you started with Maddie Goes West. The acoustics in the packed venue were spot on and it was clear that you enjoyed performing to this appreciative audience as much as they enjoyed your performance. We par...

Never mind Roger, maybe another time. The Lights is a great little venue, just about the right size for one of Gordons concerts with good views from every seat. Hopefully he'll be asked back soon. It's an ideal venue for me as its only an hour away. I've given Gordon's details to a friend in Salisbu...

Hi Russ I know what you mean about the Strat. I think the main thing is that there have been so many guitarists use the Strat that the distinct out of phase sound variations is what is needed on sooooo many tunes, plus the guitar is so easy to work on and adapt. My main electrics are Strat and Ibane...

Hi Roger Although I can't make it to the Festival I hope you have a great time. It would have been good to meet up with a fellow guitarist/Giltrap enthusiast. Jane and I are off to Andover on Friday to see Gordon at The Lights so why not pop along (its only 50 minutes from Southsea) and there are st...

Go for it Colin! I bought a Boss Loop Station RC20XL last week and I'm busy transcribing 'Dodo's Dream' at the moment. It's a fantastic little device that is able to record several minutes of your guitar in realtime and then allows you to overdub several times over the top. This enables you to...

Hi Dave I've heard nothing but good about the Seymour Duncan Woody Series. You can buy them from around £40-£50 and there are several different types to choose from. I've heard the Woody HC and it sounds great for the money. It is a hum-cancelling pickup and is very reasonably priced plus you can fi...

Hi Steve Sorry, I can't bring myself to talk ANYONE out of buying a guitar and since seeing this guitar I want one too  . All of my guitars (electric and acoustic) are in different tunings since I rediscovered Gordon a few years ago and this guitar would be a Godsend for Gordons music (althoug...

Hi Sue
Nice pictures. It looks like Gordon enjoyed himself
How about:
'Then Pete Townsend smashed his guitar on the floor like this.......'
Best wishes
