Change email address and password

Hi

Please can you advise me how to change my registered email address and also the password.

Tried resetting the password by using the 'forgotten your password' link, but it did not recognise my current email address which changed after I retired from work.

Thanks

Lightest strings for 1972 Yamaha FG100

Hi I have an old faithful Yamaha FG100 bought in 1972. I know the neck is straight at Gordon himself checked it out at Cassington when he visited (and signed the guitar!) I really need strings that I can do pull offs and bends on but even the lightest I buy now seem to be too firm at concert pitch. ...

Re: What steel string guitars to consider?

Only just catching up with the forum and have a couple of surprise recommendations for cheaper 6 strings that play well. Firstly, it is a shame that current Yamaha guitars just don't play well, but my 1973 FG-100 still has a straight neck and fabulous tones. I'm sure you could still find an early Ya...

Re: An earworm riff to develop..!!!!

....oh dear....tumbleweed.......................... I don't want to take anyone's name in vain here, but Gordon suggested that Ash Gannicott might be able to develop/extend that little riff.......?? Cheers Vigman PS Now I have nearly migrated to Cubase and can mix live guitar audio via a Line...

An earworm riff to develop..!!!!

Hi again..after a long break I have had this simple earworm riff I made up running round my head for nearly 50 years. I normally play it slower and on a 6 string acoustic. This was a first attempt at recording to PC..complete with 'fluff!' My arthritis is so bad that I didn't do a second take...this...

Re: How to string a Norman B20?

Wow, a reply from the man himself....much appreciated Gordon! BTW by 'cheese grater', I didn't mean to imply the action was poor just that the gauge of strings on it are so tight that they almost hurt to pick or even strum with my fingers. I'm a bit strange about using anything new, or in new condit...

How to string a Norman B20?

Hi I bought a second-hand Norman acoustic B20 guitar in mint condition http://www.normanguitars.com/b20.html and it is beautifully made BUT strung like a cheese grater ..... only strum-able and impossible to pick! What gauge strings would I need on this to do Gordon type pull-offs etc, and what sort...

Forgot to say.......the Cassington gig was THE perfect set list. If you put those tunes on a double CD in the same order (especially with *that* version of Dodo), I'm sure it would be a best seller to the great unwashed!!

Cassington - The review!

Well, I'm just back from Cassington with Gordon's music ringing in my ears.....well not 'ringing' as the volume was perfect. I hadn't been in the new hall, but the acoustics from a listener's point of view were excellent. It was an intimate affair with 100 people attending, and it really felt like a...

I'm still laughing about this. Last night I played my 23 year old son some clips of Gordon on YouTube. He said "Wow Dad he plays in your style!!!!!!!"

Strange coincidence involving Gordon: I was on the Isle of Wight this weekend (my real home) and went to view an auction in a hall that Gordon is playing in Ryde this November. Up for auction was an Eko guitar exacly like the one Gordon signed for me and was stolen as discussed in this thread!!!! As...

Thanks Gordon. You are quite right, it was an Eko, which was unfortunately stolen not long afterwards when I was playing in Tewkesbury  However, I still have the Yamaha FG100 which I bought to replace it in 1972. My 'best' guitar is a Canadian Norman B20 http://www.normanguitars.com/modelb2...
