Re: VE2000GG versus VE2000DLX guitars

Well I have had the VE2000DLX now for almost 2 weeks and I am really pleased with it. When it came I noticed the action looked just about right unlike the comments and my experiences with guitars from China and eventually when I put it down I found a certificate amongst the paperwork saying it had b...

VE2000GG versus VE2000DLX guitars

Hi I am looking for a little advice as regarding the VE2000GG guitar and the deluxe version which I believe is the VE2000DLX I was about to purchase the VE2000GG when I found the electro acoustic deluxe model at not too much more in price and having looked at the reviews from various sources includi...

Re: Flabby fingertip

Hi Oldbones The 12 string I bought is a Tanglewood TW28 and the strings I put on it are DAddaria EXP36. I have for years used light gauge strings on all the guitars I own after originally using medium gauge which to me is a personal thing. I have never used ultra light strings so cannot comment but ...

Re: Flabby fingertip

Hi Just over a couple of years ago I tried my best to cut 3 fingers off of my left hand at the joints up to the tips of my fingers. They were stitched up and except for a hard part on the joint of my middle finger they have healed ok. This stopped me playing for around 18 months and when I started a...

Re: Roland vs Blackstar

i am really glad I found this post as I was deliberating between a Peavy 15w and a Vox 10w amp. After doing research on the Blackstar ID Core 20w and with the help of a post from Brad, as regarding playing an electro acoustic guitar through it, I decided to buy and it has just arrived today. It appe...

Re: Roland vs Blackstar

Brad After much deliberating between a Peavey and a Vox I have decided on the Blackstar 20w like you have and living where I do in the sticks, it is time consuming going to the centre of Glasgow or Edinburgh to music shops who may not have it in stock and not to mention finding somewhere to park, to...

Re: Roland vs Blackstar

Brad P.S. The ID Core 10/20 is suitable for playing an acoustic-electric guitar through, despite a comment I got in the shop to the contrary Have you played electic acoustic guitar through this amp and if so what does the sound come out like. I am looking to buy a small amp similar to this one which...

Problems playing a mandolin after years of playing a guitar

Having played guitar for more years than I can remember a couple of years ago I had a serious accident on my left hand where I nearly cut 3 of my fingers off. I can now play again but not up to what I used to be like so for a new years resolution i have decided to learn 3 new instruments this year n...

Re: INTERMUSIC IMP AMP.

Found this post whilst looking for more information about a 50w intermusic combo I have had since the mid 70s which I bought from an auction in Sheffield where a music shop had gone bust. Incidentally its claim to fame is Def Leppard who had just made it big in America at the time were at the auctio...
