Re: Nail Care

Sorry missed the Sutton Coldfield comment...

Erm... I'm sure I spotted someone from the USofA somewhere abouts... nice chap... sizeable hands or the like... could have been his feet... wasn't looking too close to be honest...

Anyway... I'm sure we're not all from the Midlands

Re: Nail Care

Guitarist is such a strong word the conjures up images of a an individual at one with his or her instrument... I am most certainly not at one with any of my instruments...  But thanks for the assumption... perfectly natural considering where we are having this little chat... :D I in fact...

Re: Truss Rods in " Concert Size " Electro Classical Guitar

Take a look at JHS's website... http://www.jhs.co.uk/santos.html Ray's sig guitar is in there along with a host of fishman equipped models. To be honest if you have a good talk with JHS then you could have a pickup supplied and fitted to any instrument of your choice. :) As regards the trussrod I do...

The wonderful thing about technology is that his memory lives on... I'm waiting for the You Tube tribute to land in my inbox :)

Re: The Wonga ad.

Yes it's a Benjamin guitar. Nice guitars, but he's put his prices up since Eric Roche, Newton Faulkner and others started playing them. To be honest Stevo I probably couldn't have stretched to one before the price increases ... Lovely sounding lumps of timber and string though aren't they 8)

Glad I could help :)

As regards the photo, well I did work for the NHS for a while so I guess it's fairly self explanatory from there

Re: Nail Care

At this rate then my first album will be titled Troubled Talons ...  I guess I'll have to don a disguise and see the local ladies in the know... Might try picking up the bits and bobs for the gel nails as it's not overly expensive and seemingly doesn't damage the nail and lasts a lot lo...

Re: The Wonga ad.

You know I think Mike Dawes out of the two has more to owe to Giltrapism than 'tother chappie... Watch and make up your own mind... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuRBGpEHcnI&hd=1 There's a certain irrefutable Gordonistic style including the intimate pauses and counting through to the next... Is...

Well I'm glad I'm not just the unluckiest individual here!

Cheers Scott... really wish I'd picked up Elixir's that day about now as I don't think I'm going to here a damned thing... I'd happily settle for one set of strings...

Rusty Strings

Imagine my surprise when I went to fit a set of strings, brand new from the vacuum sealed pack (admittedly rather old) only to find that inside was this... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v200/madmort/20140116_142715.jpg If you didn't catch the brand it's Dean Markley ... I have emailed their US s...

Nail Care

I know its a subject close to many guitarists hearts and there's (I'm going to say) hot debate over the best methods. For me it's a point of contention, misery and suffering. It's also bloody annoying! The wife to be hates me having longer nails but I can't get on with finger picks. But on the flip ...

Not a chance those fingers are real! Obviously replaced with extra long bionic ones  Crazy skills... Not my sort of listening but the appreciation for the untold hours to get to the standards of all the people on that stage... I was also impressed by the six string bassist... Cheers for shari...

Re: Sta-tuned

Nope nothing? No one heard about these let alone tried?

I always thought it was down to the quality/type of materials used in conjunction with the conditions surrounding the instrument... I really don't know if I want to play guinea pig but the idea is interesting ...
