Recording
I would like to do some recordings using, guitar, bass, drums, vocLA, keyboards, and an acoustic piano. Question is how best to mic up a Yamaha B1 upright piano. I have a Shure SM58, a line wireless mic and a Melodium 78A mic. I found the Melodium in an antique centre that needed some TLC. It was a ...

Re: Sumbro PS1
Hi Andrew, Thanks for the reply. I went with Daddario EJ45 Pro Arte. They happened to have 20% off on the day I bought them but they still nearly cost as much as the guitar!! They took a while to settle but it holds tune quite well now. The action is still high but I still find myself playing it qui...

Re: Sumbro PS1
Hi All, Firstly, and most importantly, may I give my very best wishes to Gordon. I was very shocked and saddened to hear his recent news. It was great to read Gordon's positive words on what has happened and am sure this can only help on his road to being back on the road. Perhaps a song in there so...

Re: Sumbro PS1
Hi, You said keep your eyes open and I did :D . I found one on ebay nearly 5 years later for £9.99 and won!!!!!!! I have not got it yet but will do shortly. This will be my first classical guitar. I will do a clean up, give it some TLC and then fit some new strings. What do you recommend? http://www...

Re: Electric Guitar on Ravens and Lullabies
Thanks for the reply Gordon,
I have a JM4 looper and switch, via a lehle AB Y switcher, to either an acoustic or marshall amp, love it. Really interested to see what patches you used. Great than you can also stick a bass guitar and mic into too
Richard

Re: Electric Guitar on Ravens and Lullabies
Hi Gordon,
When you say Line 6 JM 4 do you mean the looper. If so it would be great to know which patches you used?
Thanks in advance Richard

Hi Gordon,
I would happily do this if it were in Newcastle, add a date nearby and there is a bed for the night. Last time I saw you was a fantastic night at Alnwick Playhouse
I hope there is room at the Inn somewhere!!!!
Kind Regards, Richard

Hi Daniel,
Great playing, I can hear the GG influence in Summer Holiday. Only just got the CD with it on, very good stuff.
Just need the beard and you will have off to a t
To get such praise from GG is great, I would go for the busking and start up a fund for the harp guitar.

Re: Practice, is RGT the answer
Gordon, Thanks for the tips, but not being a virtuoso guitarist like your good self means that the cupboards are bare for me. I like the idea of playing with the electric unplugged whilst watching the TV, I suspect my wife would like me to do this all of the time! To think you thought it scary to pl...
