The Ropewalk is a regionally acclaimed centre for the arts housing galleries, Sculpture Garden, Coffee Shop, and Ropery Hall – a venue for live music, theatre and cinema within a Grade II listed former rope factory. Other facilities include: a printmaking workshop; artists’ studios and meeting rooms available for outside lets.

Ropery Hall is a small, community venue with a capacity of around 120, which offers an eclectic programme of theatre, comedy, music, spoken word and film throughout the year.

For smaller events, the seating is cabaret-style. For all other performances it is theatre-style and the seating is unallocated. If you wish to be seated together please ensure that you arrive in good time.

Please DO NOT go into Tescos – keep on Maltkiln Road. Parking is in the far left of the car park by the north end of the building.

How to book

Tickets are available:

• Online – click on the Buy Tickets link on each event listing. There is a 10% booking fee applied to online transactions. There are no physical tickets, your details will be held on the door at the event.
• In person at The Ropewalk, Maltkiln Road, Barton upon Humber, DN18 5JT, open Tuesday to Saturday, 10.00am to 5.00pm, and Sunday and Bank Holidays, 10.00am to 4.00pm. There is no booking fee.
• By telephone on 01652 660380 – pay by credit/debit card. A £2 booking fee is applicable per transaction irrespective of the number of tickets purchased..
