GORDON GILTRAP News September 2009

This year seems to be flying by and with only 3  months to Christmas (!!), we have lots of new Gordon Giltrap goodies for you to put on Santas List. Alternatively, you could always treat yourself right away .

VINTAGE GILTRAP BOOK OUT NOW
After the tremendous success of the Troubadour book, here is the second in the series of printed books in a project which will eventually feature all the music composed by Gordon Giltrap in his many years in the music business.
This new one, titled Vintage Giltrap, includes twelve of his classic instrumentals, including Fast Approaching, The Tyger, From the Four Winds, London and the two for which Gordon is probably most famed for, the brilliant Heartsong and Lucifer's Cage. The pieces are presented in standard notation and tablature.
Featured pieces: Lucifers Cage, The Ecchoing Green, London, Heartsong, Revelation, Roots Part 1, Prelude To Pastoral, The Tyger, Melancholy Lullaby, Prelude To Morbio Gorge, From The Four Winds, Fast Approaching.

DOUBLEVISIONS
This album recorded with RAY BURLEY has been completely re mastered and re packaged and is re issued with 2 bonus tracks.
The stylish production includes several new pictures of Raymond and Gordon and informative booklet notes provided by Paul Fowles.
Originally released in 2004 the tracks on this album read almost like a GILTRAP retrospective with every decade of his 35 years represented.
Tracks: Maddie Goes West, The Racer, Ravensbourn, Under This Blue Sky, Sing A Song Of Sixpence, Down The River, A Christmas Carol, The Picnic, The Passing Of A Queen, Heartsong, Daisy Chain, Fast Approaching, Isabella's Wedding, Tailor Bird, Kaz, Tears Of Joy.
