Acoustic Routes was started by singer/songwriter Bernard Hoskin in 2001 to present a wide range of non-mainstream music in a small concert setting.
The concerts take place in the intimate air-conditioned basement at CB2 restaurant near the centre of Cambridge and present some of the finest local, national and international performers around. The music covered includes singer/songwriters, acoustic guitarists, traditional folk, blues, and Americana.
It has established a reputation as one of the finest small venues in the country and has featured performers such as Nizlopi, Martyn Joseph, Boo Hewerdine, Chris Difford, Christine Collister, Benny Gallagher, Clive Gregson, Phil Beer, Clive Carroll, Hank Marvin, Seth Lakeman, and many more.
We recommend booking a table for a meal in the restaurant before the concert. You should allow at least an hour and a half for the meal to leave enough time to get down to the cellar for the start of the concert at 8.30pm. To book a table tel. 01223 508503.
CB2 offers fine dining, cafe, internet access, art and 2nd hand books.
Most of our concerts sell out in advance so to be sure of getting in you need to book tickets. You can pay by credit card at no extra cost and this will guarantee you get a seat.
If tickets are not yet on sale you can reserve them. You can also reserve tickets by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phoning 07971 299659.
Doors open 7.45pm, concerts start at 8.30pm
Please check availability of tickets and confirm date / start times with the organiser before setting out, as sometimes changes are unavoidable - thank you.
